Most runs finish in about 10 minutes. Large or complex plan sets can take up to 25. You watch it work through four stages — reading plans, calculating labour, pricing items, then generating the spreadsheet. Runs that fail on a system error are automatically refunded as account credit.

- How accurate is a Wundermator estimate?
- Rates are calibrated against real back-costed Australian builds rather than a published index, and every category is priced rather than lump-summed. It remains an indicative budget estimate — treat it as a fast, well-evidenced first pass, and verify anything you are about to sign.
- Does it replace my estimator?
- No. It does the take-off and the first pass so your judgement goes on the lines that matter, instead of on measuring. You review, adjust and own the final number.
- What file formats can I upload?
- Architectural plans as PDF. Engineering drawings and a selections document are optional but improve accuracy, because the model reads them directly. Scanned PDFs work, though text quality matters — re-scan at higher resolution if the output looks off.
- Can I use my own rates?
- Yes. The workbook exports to WunderBuild, BuildXact, Buildertrend or Excel with quantities and unit measures intact, so you can drop your own rates and margin over the top.
- Does it handle renovations and extensions?
- Yes. Only new works are priced — existing structure that stays is not re-costed. Renovation labour carries its own calibration because working around an existing building is slower than building new.
- What if the estimate fails?
- Runs that fail on a system error are automatically refunded as account credit. You are never charged for a run that did not produce a workbook.
